Meet a remedial educator or support coordinator
If I had to go to school in China today and suddenly start speaking Chinese, I don’t know if I would succeed in 2 years. At our school, I see students who just do it. They learn the Dutch language in an average of 2 years!
Together with the support team and NT2 colleagues, I take care of the quality of NT2 education and follow your language development. Like every student, you start in the VIK class. After 10 weeks your level is assessed and you move on to a follow-up class that is suitable. We do this according to the LOWAN-routes.
Sometimes you are less successful in learning the Dutch language, then we look at the cause. It may be that there are language problems in your mother language, or that something has happened in your life that makes you feel uncomfortable. We always think along with you; how pleasant is that!
Students often tell me how they really like school. Then I feel so proud when things are going well: “Never forget that you are intelligent! You will get there, but the road might be a little longer!”, then I always give them back.
